The Panorama Dead Sea Complex (PDSC) opened in 2006 with the support of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and later in agreement with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
 

The Panorama Dead Sea was built to create a new tourist attraction in the Dead Sea area, with an aim to 

  • provide a visual viewpoint and access to sites with religious and historical significance,

The Dead Sea museum exhibits are also focused on tracing the various civilizations that once occupied the area and the cultural legacies they left behind. The museum is full of various displays that describe the geology, ecology, archeology and conservation of the Dead Sea area through four dedicated sections: Origins, Eco-System, Human Interaction and Dead Sea in Danger.
